Day 2 Recap – Space City Slam

Our second day at the Space City Slam delivered two very different matchups for Team Lex 2029 UA Rise – Houston, both offering valuable lessons as we continue building our identity.

Game 1: Kingwood Hoops 48, Team Lex 2029 UA Rise – Houston 24
We opened against a polished and disciplined Kingwood Hoops team. After the game, their coach shared that his team has played together for four years—and it showed. Their chemistry, execution, and pace exposed areas where we must grow. This loss gives us a target to chase: a reminder that success is built through time, trust, and reps.

Game 2: Team Lex 2029 UA Rise – Houston 43, Lady Thunder 5
We responded with focus and intensity in Game 2. While the competition didn’t match our level, we made it a point to stay sharp, execute cleanly, and maintain our standard from start to finish.

These two games couldn’t have been more different—but both will help shape who we’re becoming.
