Team Lex 2029 UA Rise – Houston: Statement Made at Space City Slam
Day one of the Girls Prep Hoops Space City Slam is in the books, and Team Lex 2029 UA Rise – Houston left no doubt about why we came.
Game 1: Fast Start, Strong Finish
We opened the day with purpose, launching into an 11–0 run that set the tone early against JPSA Academy. Our pressure, pace, and focus never wavered. Every player brought energy, and the result spoke for itself: a dominant 42–14 win.
Game 2: Adversity Answered
The second game was a different story. We came out flat and struggled to find rhythm through the first half. With two minutes to play, the score was locked at 41–41. But when it mattered most, our girls responded—turning up the defense and closing on a 9–0 run to seal a hard-fought 50–41 victory over Houston United.
Two wins. Two different paths. One team identity: compete, adjust, finish.
