Dominant Weekend for Team Lex 2032 Rise Houston at NY2LA Tournament

This past weekend, Team Lex Houston made a powerful statement at the NY2LA Tournament in DeSoto, going a perfect 3-0 and taking home the championship hardware in convincing fashion.

The girls opened pool play with a commanding 51–23 win over Grind House, setting the tone early with intense defense and up-tempo offense. In Game 2, they faced a major test against Team Lex UA FUTR, a matchup that turned into a thrilling battle between two elite-level squads. Team Lex Houston showed poise and grit down the stretch, edging out a clutch 44–43 victory.

With a 2–0 record heading into the final matchup, the team closed the day with another strong performance, defeating Team Icon 12U by a score of 55–39 to secure the title.

What made the run even more impressive was the way this group played together—sharing the ball, communicating on defense, and playing for each other every possession. From fast breaks to second-effort plays, this team showed they are built for the big stage.

Congratulations to our girls for showing heart, hustle, and unity all tournament long. This championship is just another step in the journey, and we couldn’t be prouder of how they represented Team Lex on and off the court.
